Ullmer – Blumentritt – Becker - Virchow

This time we take a closer look at the celebration of the 25 year Rizal Park in Wilhelmsfeld near Heidelberg in Germany.

That day the busts of two friends of Dr. José Rizal - Pastor Karl Ullmer and Prof. Ferdinand Blumentritt - as well as the busts of the Academic Mentors of Rizal - Prof. Otto Becker and Prof. Rudolf Virchow - were presented to the public.

The extension and adjustment of the Rizal Park with the four heads was financially supported by many German-Filipino Friends.

The pictures are the Statues of Jose Rizal in Wilhelmsfeld, Germany. The statue of Rizal was created by Anastacia Caedo (1907-1990), a master of classic sculpture , statuary and monuments of the Philippines.

The 4 heads were created by the artist Libor Pisklák from Litomerice. The heads of the friends and mentors of Rizal were inaugurated by the Mayor of Wilhelmsfeld and the donors present and other members of the Community in Germany.
