In remembrance of the 10th year death anniversary July 10th, 1939 of the late Filipino Mabini Master  Francisco Paco Gorospe Sy Magkaisa Mabini Art Collection – formerly Transwing - handed over one painting of the late artist to the NCCA - National Commission of Culture and Arts.

The collector Mr. Klaus W. Hartung donated the Paco Gorospe “Mango Vendor” painting to the NCCA and some samples of the book Revisiting Mabini Art.

In commemoration of the 10th death anniversary of Mabini artist Paco Gorospe, on behalf of the owner of the artwork “Mango Vendor” painted by Paco Gorospe during the period 1975-1980 (oil on canvas, 30 x 30 inches) the artwork was handed over to the NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR CULTURE AND THE ARTS (NCCA), a government agency created by and pursuant to Republic Act No. 7356 , with office address at NCCA Building, 633 General Luna St., Intramuros, Manila represented by its than Chairman, FELIPE M. DE LEON JR. The handover took place in a press luncheon at Barbara’s Restaurant, Plaza San Luis Complex, Intramuros on July 20, 2012.

Recognizing that Mabini Art has an interesting history and a strong influence on the development of the Philippine Visual Art, which was often not mentioned in books about art in the Philippines, while collecting paintings by Filipino artists and especially from Mabini artists, the collector Mr. Klaus W. Hartung with a group of art enthusiasts developed the idea of a book about Mabini Art. Since Paco Gorospe was one of those “drop-outs” from the university who developed his own style, it was decided to use mainly his artworks to represent Mabini Art in the Philippines. After World War II, Mabini Street in Ermita became the commercial center, including that of art brokerage, when Manila was rebuilding the city after the war.
